We found the process of buying the lot and the actual construction very smooth considering we did most of the communication by phone and email. What was discussed in our trip to SPIGC in October concerning inside decor, was put in place. All recommendations of other businesses to deal with for applances, lighting etc. were appreciated and those companies were very accommodating and easy to deal with also. The home is well built and the few small items which needed attending to when we arrived in January where followed up promptly. This foundation is the tied to the framing with metal straps. Five Star has recent;y instituted the use of two by six studs with is an innovation for the South Padre Island Golf Community. This framing will result in additional insulation and lower heating and cooling bills for the home owner. The walls are again tied to the roof framing with metal straps which offer the best hurricane protection. The energy efficiency is certified. An independent Home Energy Rating Certificate, HERS score, on my home at 23 Bethpage Dr. resulted in a rating of 88.1 which equates to a 5 Star rating, nearly a 5 Star Plus energy efficiency. I have over 44 profesional years of engineering experience instructural dynamics and I would not live in a home of lesser quality.
The quality of the home finish equals the structural integrity of the home. The granite counter tops, custom built cabinets, cultured marble window sills, and many other extra features will ensure that you will enjoy your home for many years into the future.
As a finishing touch, Five Star will install landscaping that will enhance and add to your pride in the home. Last year my home was selected as the best maintained yard in the SPI community. This homor was a result of Five Star's initiative in establishing the basic landscaping.
