> Like the foundation your Five Star Builders home interior and exteriors are built to code or better. All walls are built with 2" x 4" #1-2 SPF on 16" centers, plates are built with 2" x 4" #1 treated. Our ceiling joists are built with 2" x 6" #1-2 on 16" centers. If you decide to go with an optional tile roof, we’ll use 2"x8" on 16" centers for the ceiling joists. We also use 2"x6" #1-2 on 16" centers for all rafters.

Our standard windows are vinyl. We use Georgia Aluminum High Performance 7700 Series Low E double pane vinyl windows throughout your home.

Plus all exterior walls are insulated with Rock Wool insulation (fire proof and sound proof). R-17 insulation is used on 2" x 4" exterior walls and R-24 insulation is used on 2" x 6" exterior walls. Rock Wool insulation on interior wall is an option. We also use blown in R-44 fiberglass insulation in the attic and interior walls.
