> Five Star Builders homes are energy efficient with double pane insulated windows and high efficiency 5 ton 14 Seer Air Conditioner (Rudd Brand or equivalent). For homes over 2500 square feet we provide two air conditioners. Plus we use R-44 blown insulation in ceilings, R-17 Batt insulation in all exterior walls, R-13 insulation in all interior walls, R-19 Batt Insulation in Sloped Ceilings, roof vent systems and Polycel Foam in all wall penetrations.

We take a lot of care in installing the high performance, double pane vinyl windows we use in all of our homes. For maximum energy efficiency we tape around our windows, we foam seal our windows and then we Polycel our windows.

Remember, Five Star Builders' has earned the right to be an ENERGY STAR PARTNER! This is a special recognition that very few builders earn. What does it mean to be an ENERGY STAR PARTNER? It means that Five Star Builders has undergone an in depth, third party energy efficiency evaluation of their homes and building techniques. This evaluation certifies that the builder uses reliable and established technologies and building practices that results in homes that operate 30% more efficiently than homes built to normal building codes.
